Manuka Sports Event Management is excited to announce the Atlantic Cup will be back in 2012 as the premiere Class 40 race in the United States. The 2012 Atlantic Cup will start from Charleston, South Carolina where competitors will race double-handed to New York City. From New York they will take the same course as in the 2011 edition and race to Newport, Rhode Island. Newport will again play host to two days of inshore racing. The race is scheduled to start May 11, 2012. MORE
The 2012 Atlantic Cup will kick off in late May from Charleston, South Carolina. Boats will race an off-shore leg from Charleston to New York where they’ll have to navigate the always unpredictable and challenging Cape Hatteras. Upon arrival in New York City they’ll have a quick break before they restart on the coastal leg which will take them back down the New Jersey coast where they’ll round the only mark in the offshore legs.
